Vision: Making the Healthy Choice, the Easy Choice.

2022 Objectives:

  • Objective 1: CHC and the City of Willard will be improving the Willard Pool snack menu, using the Ohio Food & Beverage Guidelines.

    • Update: This objective is still in process of being completed as of September 1, 2022 and will be moved into a sustain objective for 2023. CHC conducted a survey and taste test to gather feedback from community members visiting the Willard Pool, to see what kind of healthy snacks the community is interested in having at the pool in 2023.

Nourishing Huron County Community Garden

The Huron County CHC Coalition is pleased to share the Nourishing Huron County Community Garden, located at Huron County Public Health, 28 Executive Drive in Norwalk. For 2022, the community garden contains summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers. All produce is being harvested throughout the summer and donated on a weekly basis to the Norwalk Area Food Bank to help Huron County residents "make the healthy choice the easy choice".

A special thank you to the Town & Country Garden Club in Norwalk who donated the produce for this year's garden and whose volunteers are weeding and watering the garden throughout the growing season. Without them, the Nourishing Huron County Community Garden would not be possible!
