Nourishing Huron County Community Garden

The Huron County CHC Coalition is pleased to share the Nourishing Huron County Community Garden, located at Huron County Public Health, 28 Executive Drive in Norwalk. For 2023, the community garden contains California Wonder Bell peppers, jalapenos, cucumbers, tomatillos, Blue Lake beans (bush variety), and marigolds. All produce is being harvested throughout the summer and will be donated on a weekly basis to the Norwalk Area Food Bank. The Community Garden is a sustained CHC project that serves as a resource to help Huron County and "vibrant Ohio communities where everyone has access to healthy food and opportunities for active living".

A special thank you to the Town & Country Garden Club in Norwalk who donated the produce for this year's garden and whose volunteers are weeding and watering the garden throughout the growing season. Without them, the Nourishing Huron County Community Garden would not be possible!
