Certified Records

All birth and death records are maintained in the county where the birth or death occurs.
The cost for a copy of a certified birth or death certificate is $20.00.
Due to a change in Ohio law only certified copies of birth and death certificates can be issued.
To obtain a copy of a certified birth or death record you may print and complete the attached application
along with a self addressed stamped envelope and a check or money order
made payable to the Huron County General Health District.

Certified copies may also be ordered by phone betweend the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
A credit card is necessary to order by phone.

Overnight delivery is available through UPS please call for pricing.
All other certificates will be sent first class mail.
