Community Health - What We Do

Through education, programming, planning, information dissemination and policy advocacy, the mission of the Community Health Division is to:

  1. promote healthy lifestyles
  2. prevent injury and disease, and
  3. prepare the Health District and the community for public health emergencies.

Our role is to identify community health problems, look for common causes, and to target the affected groups with information and interventions that reduce the public’s exposure.

Our programs target children, adolescents, senior citizens, parents, adults, community leaders, professionals and health care providers.
